Solution:

Step 1: Download and Install the Driver

  1. Download and Install the Driver
  2. Visit the RICOH website: RICOH Support

  3. Search for your printer model (e.g., Ricoh MP C4504).

  4. Download the macOS driver compatible with your version of macOS.

  5. Open the downloaded file and follow the installation instructions.

Step 2: Add the Printer

  1. Open System Settings (or System Preferences for older macOS versions).

  2. Go to Printers & Scanners.

  3. Click Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax (+ button).

  4. If the printer is connected via USB, it should appear automatically. If it's network-based, select it from the list or manually add it via IP:

    • Select IP and enter the printer’s IP address.

    • Set Protocol to Line Printer Daemon (LPD) or IPP.

    • In the Use dropdown, select Select Software and choose your Ricoh driver.

  5. Click Add to complete the setup.

Step 3: Set Default Preferences (Optional)

  1. Click on your printer in Printers & Scanners.

  2. Click Options & Supplies, then go to the Options tab.

  3. Enable features like Duplex Printing or Additional Paper Trays if needed.
